Magicshine MJ-872, With 1600 Lumens - this compact light provides the best value for money. If you are looking for the highest Lumens at the lowest prices then you need not look any further! The 4x high power LED work together to ensure that not only do you get useable bright lights but you also get great battery life.
Excellent optical arrangement that throws the most light where you need it - right out in front, but also sends enough out to the sides to keep peripheral vision useable.
The automatic overheat funcition reduces the power of the LED lights if there is a danger of the heat damging the elements - it is all too easy to manufacture a light that is extremely bright the first time that it is used - but that rapidly fades with continual use due to heat damage to the LEDs.
The power levels are indicated by the colour indicator - which means with a quick glance, a rider can watch the light power without risking averting his gaze from the track ahead. If the light inicators tell you that the battery is running low - the colour will change every 25% reduction in enery reserves and a final blinking light that informs th rider when only 5% remains. So that even a biker totally absorbed in their ride will not be taken by surprise and caught short!
Speedy, but secure mounting - the rubber 'O' rings are fast to attach and easy to remove - but also provide a secure fixing that will not vibrate loose on bumpy single-track. The natural elasticity of the rubber is the built in shock absorber that man-made bolts and fastenings can never beat!
Rubber packing for the battery - and secure electrical connection mean that when the weather lets you down and the mud threatens your very existance than your Magicshine MJ-872 will still be there to light the way home.
We sell extension cables - also with weatherproof seals - so even with helmet lights or tandem lighting you can be sure that the rain will not get to your electrical circuits and LEDs.
The anodised alumininium body makes for a sturgy LED housing and the magicshine design let the air-flow cool the head even at the lower speeds you expect when riding at night. Whilst not indestrucable, the reviews suggest that the MJ872 is about as clise to it as you can get without adding huge amounts of weight to the design.
The entire bar-mounted head unti of the magicshine MJ-872 is less then 2 inches cubed - which makes for a neat and powerful LED package. The tiny proportions of this light mean that in combination with the speedy dismount rubber rings it can easily be pocketed when you get to your destination - away from light fingers...
The light is shipped with two rubber mounts which means that almost every diamter of bar is taken care of. Should you need them we also sell spares as well as oversized rinds for extreme tubing situations.
